CPG designed 4 office buildings up to 7 stories in height over a common 3 level basement. The buildings are linked by a common glazed atrium and are designed to a 5 star green rating.

CPG has designed many buildings for Manson Developments, one of the largest development companies in New Zealand, over a period of more than 20 years.

This project has 4 office buildings up to 7 stories in height over a common 3 level basement which is excavated up to more than 9 metres below ground level. The buildings are linked by a common glazed atrium and are designed to a 5 star green rating.

CPG's role involved the preparation of alternative concept structural designs at the feasibility stage and for preliminary architectural design, adoption and design of a purpose designed economical flat beam, precast floor system utilizing pre and post stressing to minimise floor depth (to allow for large ducting and services required for a 5 star rated building).

We undertook a sophisticated dynamic analysis for seismic design and tuned the building so that we could utilize precast concrete shear walls around the core only, which in turn allowed us to minimise column sizes within the buildings which is very attractive to both the architect and the developer and the building occupants.
