STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING
Structural Engineering
CPG provides structural design for a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial buildings, plant supports, tensile structures, light steel structures and specialist structures. The structural design of a building must balance the complex inter-relationship of function and style. Whether as a principal adviser or as adviser to an architect, CPG has the expertise and experience to contribute to all stages of a building project, from site selection, through feasibility study, to design and implementation.
CPG has been designing structures for commercial, residential and educational buildings for more than 50 years for clients ranging from government departments and local bodies to private companies and clients. Our ability to work with the client and architect to optimise the structural and architectural concepts with precision very early in the design process is an important aspect of our service and philosophy.
Our projects have included a wide range of commercial, industrial, residential and educational buildings, civil and marine structures and utilised all the main construction materials and various structural systems as appropriate to the job and the client’s requirements.
Sustainability
Sustainable design is achieved by encouraging use of renewable resources, reuse of existing materials and reconstituted materials and providing efficient and economical designs. CPG has a policy of sustainability both in our design and in our company operations and we are currently working on several 5-star green-rated buildings including office blocks, low rise buildings and their associated civil works.
