STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING

Educational Buildings
Institutional buildings such as schools make up a significant portion of our projects. These can vary from expansions of existing buildings to stand alone structures such as recreation halls to large structures fully incorporating all facilities. We have also carried out structural mitigation strengthening exercises on existing structures and can provide expert guidance to our clients.

Telecommunication Towers
The management of structures to support infrastructure is an area of expertise for CPG. Most recently, we have worked in collaboration with Downer EDI engineering on the structural engineering implications of upgrading of the Telecom network, including site assessments, design checks on existing structures and towers and the design of new structures and towers.

Pallet Racking Systems
Cool store drive in racking, warehouse selective racking and timber yard storage racks have made CPG a leader in the design of these lightweight steel systems.

Light Steel Framed Buildings
As an extension to our pallet racking experience, CPG have been involved in the development and specific design alterations to a wide range of light steel framed buildings.

Flexible Fabric Structures
Design procedures for flexible storage tanks for static or mobile use have been developed by CPG, alone and also for cloth structural systems.

Strength Assessment and Seismic Upgrading
Structural investigations and checking the strength of existing buildings both for proposed additions of new floors or for strengthening the buildings help our clients to comply more closely with current design standards for vertical loads and horizontal loads. CPG frequently negotiate with Councils for an economically reasonable level of load resistance to keep our projects financially and practically feasible.

Marine Related Structures
Marine-related structures can include wharves and jetties, boat storage and boat handling facilities such as boat stacking buildings, travel lifts and crane structures. CPG draws from the expertise of our structural engineering and maritime professionals to provide quality solutions in this area. For more information please visit our Marine Structures page.
